Deviation Actions
So, here it is. The time where I do a review of the year gone past. Last year I did a what-I've-discovered sort of piece, new artists, what I've learnt on dA and Photoshop and developing my own skills.
So this time, I'm going for something slightly different. Not only do I think that really I should take this opportunity to show off the awesome artwork of others on dA, but I am also without Photoshop so it has meant that I have been more active on the
front rather than the uploading side of things.
I'm going to do this by choosing my favourite pieces from each of my folders (or my main ones, at least). I am aware that some of these cross over with other folders, in which case I shall note down what their 'sub-category' is. I also know that there are some deviants whose whole galleries I have faved because their work is all so beautiful! In this case I shall attempt to pick my very favourite and give you a link to their gallery.
(I also realise that none of these will be thumbnails on account of the fact I don't have a Premium Membership. If you are able to be generous and donate points then I would be very very grateful! And a llama for your kindness!)

This deviant is a wonderful dark artist. I rarely visit her gallery and do not fave at least a few of her pieces. You may recognise her manipulations from the covers of "Fallen" and "Torment", books by Lauren Kate (which I've read the first of and LOVE, just trying to find time to read the second one!). Her manipulations are wonderfully crafted and always give off a great atmosphere which is what I think makes them so wonderful. So hard to choose a favourite! But I chose this:

I love this deviant's gallery purely for their concert photography (although their fanart is rather cool too!). They are almost single-handedly resposible for my faving so many actual photos of Epica in concert than fan-creations - which is no bad thing; they have opened my eyes to some great photography out there. Aaaaaand, now time to tell you about my new series of manipulations!! Introducing:
'THE UNFORGIVING' SERIES
I'm making a series of manipulations, each based on a song from the album The Unforgiving. This includes the three bonus songs from the Japanese Special Edition
New Deviations, Photoshop, Et Al
I am finally back! It has been a very long time, nearly a year since my last deviation. I've been on and off dA since then, checking out other work, gathering stock, moodboarding new ideas. And now, at last, I've reacquired Photoshop! So now all my ideas can finally be put into place.
I've started off with a new Evanescence wallpaper, based on their new single, "What You Want". So there's that in my gallery. Hopefully over the next few weeks I can start on a few more ideas. One of them is a fairly big project I've planned for myself, but some more on that at a later date...

Back At Last...!
I know it's been a long time since I submitted anything, but I'm without photoshop at present so I have lots of plans and no programme to create them on! As soon as I get access back to PS then you can be sure I will be manip-ing like mad!
So, what have I been doing since my last journal after the MUSE concert? Well, I've just completed my first year of NaNo!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: I did lots of planning and hit the 50,000words with about an hour to go. MUSE Concert, Manipulations and Feature!
So, lots to mention!
First, (and probably most importantly!) I was lucky enough to be at the Muse gig on 11.9.10. It was EPIC. They are so good live it's almost unbelievable. I knew they were awesome live anyway, but to actually be there was even better! I took a few (fairly poor) photos, so once I've seen if they turn out okay, I may upload them here.
